UAE, Pakistan Leaders Boost Trade and Investment Talks

Abu Dhabi – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari in Abu Dhabi to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in economy, trade, and investment.

The meeting took place at Qasr Al Bahr, where Sheikh Mohamed welcomed President Zardari and praised his efforts to enhance ties between the two nations, which have been steadily growing.

Both leaders reviewed progress on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations. They expressed hope that the agreement will significantly boost economic cooperation and trade between the UAE and Pakistan.

The discussions also covered regional and international developments. The leaders stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to support peace and global stability.

Sheikh Mohamed highlighted Pakistan’s current role as a member of the United Nations Security Council, saying it offers new opportunities for cooperation on global security issues.

President Zardari reaffirmed the strong relationship between the UAE and Pakistan and said Pakistan is keen to expand economic partnerships that benefit both countries.
