Dubai has once again stepped forward in a major humanitarian effort, dispatching critical medical supplies to Lebanon to assist communities displaced by the ongoing conflict. Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a land convoy of four trucks carrying 21.5 metric tonnes of essential medicines and healthcare items departed Dubai on 20 March 2026.
The shipment, provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), aims to reach Lebanon within days, strengthening local healthcare services and supporting relief operations for displaced populations. The aid includes a broad range of essential medical supplies designed to address urgent health needs in crisis-affected areas.
This initiative underscores Dubai Humanitarian’s commitment to rapid, reliable, and large-scale emergency response. By leveraging its strategic partnerships, regional connectivity, and operational expertise, Dubai Humanitarian continues to play a pivotal role in delivering aid efficiently, ensuring essential assistance reaches those who need it most.
The operation was made possible through the support of the Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF), which covered transportation costs, enabling Dubai to facilitate a seamless supply chain from the UAE to Lebanon. The convoy highlights the UAE’s growing position as a leading hub for humanitarian support, ready to respond to emergencies anywhere in the world.
