Sheikh Hazza Reviews UAE Cybersecurity Plans in Al Ain

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, received a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) at Al Maqam Palace. The delegation was led by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Council.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hazza was briefed on the Council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the UAE’s digital infrastructure and enhance national capabilities in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These efforts aim to build a secure and advanced digital ecosystem that keeps pace with global technological developments and supports businesses and institutions across key sectors.

His Highness also reviewed plans to expand the CyberE71 Incubator Programme, the UAE’s flagship initiative for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. The expanded programme will include school and university students, as well as entrepreneurs in the Al Ain Region, focusing on skills development and the creation of advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect cyberspace and support the digital economy.

Sheikh Hazza stressed the importance of developing cybersecurity talent across the country to strengthen the UAE’s cyber defence capabilities. He noted that a secure digital environment is essential for improving economic productivity, boosting global competitiveness, and accelerating the transition towards a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.

His Highness further highlighted the need to raise cybersecurity awareness among individuals and organisations to counter digital threats, protect national achievements, and support future goals in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. He said such awareness is vital for sustainable development across major economic sectors.

The UAE Cybersecurity Council delegation thanked Sheikh Hazza for the meeting, stating that it reflects his strong interest in priority sectors and his continued support for initiatives that enhance digital readiness and strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem in Al Ain and across the emirate.

The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
