US President Donald Trump has said that the country will now keep a special store of digital money called cryptocurrency. This store will have Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA). After this news, Bitcoin's price went up 11% to $94,164, and Ether’s price jumped 13% to $2,516. The whole crypto market gained $300 billion in just a few hours, as per CoinGecko. XRP, which is linked to Ripple Labs, also rose in value. This happened because Ripple has been supporting leaders in the government who like crypto.

Trump shared this update on Truth Social. He said that an order he gave in January will set up this national crypto store. This is the first time he gave names of the digital coins that will be kept in the reserve. He also said that Bitcoin and Ether will be the most important ones. This shows that he strongly supports digital money.
Since his 2024 election campaign, Trump has been helping the crypto world. He removed many strict rules that were put in place by the earlier leader, Joe Biden. One big change was stopping a government case against Coinbase, the biggest crypto exchange in America. Biden’s team had tried to control digital money more strictly because they were worried about fraud and illegal use. But Trump has taken a different path.
To show more support, Trump will hold a special meeting at the White House this Friday. Many important people from the crypto industry and the government will come together to talk about the future of digital money. His team believes that keeping a national store of crypto will make America stronger and help it stay ahead in digital finance.
It is not clear if Trump needs permission from Congress to start this crypto store. Some experts say he might use the US Treasury’s Exchange Stabilization Fund to buy these digital coins without making new rules. There are also reports that his team may use digital money that the police have taken from criminals.
Even though this news pushed crypto prices up, the market has not been stable. It lost some of the rise that came after Trump won the election. People in the crypto world are now waiting to see if Trump will bring clear rules to make digital money easier to use and grow.
Trump’s support for crypto is a big change in America’s money rules. What he does next will decide how digital money works in the future, not just in the US, but in many other countries too.
