His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan opened the 16th edition of Abu Dhabi Art. This event is organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and supported by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Theyab visited the fair to see the galleries and art from many countries. This year, 102 galleries from 31 countries are showing more than 1,500 pieces of art. 42 new galleries joined this year, with some coming from Qatar, Kuwait, and Kazakhstan. Emirati artist Mohamed Kazem is the official artist for this year’s fair, honoring his big role in shaping the art scene in the UAE.

In his speech, Sheikh Theyab said that Abu Dhabi Art has grown to be an important event. It helps improve the art scene in the UAE and shows the world the country’s culture and talent. He also mentioned that the fair encourages people from different countries to share their art and ideas.

Sheikh Theyab praised the fair for bringing different cultures together and helping artists grow. He emphasized how important it is for Abu Dhabi to be a global center for art and culture.

The fair will be open until November 24, 2024, at Manarat Al Saadiyat. It gives people a chance to see art from around the world. Over 100 galleries from different countries are part of the event, which helps build stronger connections between cultures.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said that Abu Dhabi Art shows how the city is growing as a major place for art and culture. He added that the fair supports local artists and helps the art industry in the UAE grow.

Abu Dhabi Art is part of the city’s plan to promote art and culture, and through the fair, Abu Dhabi continues to support artists and build cultural bridges around the world.

Sheikh Theyab was joined by many important leaders, such as Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President; Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the President; Mohammed Ahmad Al Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation; Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi; Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi; Rita Aoun, Executive Director of Culture at DCT Abu Dhabi; and Dyala Nusseibeh, Director of Abu Dhabi Art Fair.
