After four long years, Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man is back with its third season, premiering on November 21. The spy thriller sees Manoj reprise his iconic role as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class intelligence officer balancing high-stakes national security threats with his equally explosive family life.
Season 3, directed by Raj and DK, opens with Srikant facing an assassination that drags him into a tense geopolitical web involving insurgency and covert operations. Priyamani returns as his wife, Suchitra, while Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, and Dalip Tahil also appear. New additions Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur play pivotal antagonists.
When it first arrived in 2019, The Family Man changed the landscape of Indian OTT thrillers with its mix of action, humor, and family drama. This season leans more heavily into action, a shift that has divided audiences.
Some viewers praised the new season: “Among all three seasons, this one easily stands out as the most complete and compelling package yet,” wrote one fan. Others appreciated the familiar faces and the new additions, noting strong performances and engaging twists.
However, some were less impressed. Reviews criticized the season for weaker storytelling and less focus on Srikant’s family life. Comments ranged from “Weakest season yet… at least the cast is having fun” to “Finished 4 episodes… this season is plain BORING!” Fans also lamented the missing signature elements that made previous seasons shine.
The verdict on The Family Man Season 3 is mixed, with opinions varying between an action-packed thrill ride and a slightly underwhelming installment.
