Budget airline SpiceJet soared in the stock market once again on Monday, October 27, climbing over 6% in intraday trade to reach a three-month high of ₹40.59 per share. The SpiceJet share price rally marks the airline’s third consecutive session of gains, taking its cumulative surge to an impressive 22.5% in just a few days.
According to a company statement, SpiceJet will operate 250 daily flights during the Winter Schedule 2025, a sharp jump from 125 flights in the summer schedule and 150 flights during the previous winter. The airline described this as a 100% increase, showcasing SpiceJet’s strong growth trajectory and the rising demand for air travel both domestically and internationally.
The SpiceJet share price continued its upward climb after the airline confirmed that all 19 leased aircraft will soon be added to its fleet, with the expanded flight schedule to be rolled out gradually starting October 26, 2025.
In a major boost to international connectivity, SpiceJet also announced the launch of nonstop daily flights to Phuket from Delhi and Mumbai, catering to the growing demand for leisure travel from India’s busiest metros.
By November 2025, the airline aims to double its operational fleet and triple its available seat kilometres (ASKM), scaling up operations to meet the surging passenger demand while strengthening its network across key routes.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, said, “This winter marks a defining phase of growth for SpiceJet. Doubling our daily flights reflects our renewed momentum and clear growth strategy. The steady expansion of our fleet will help us increase frequency on high-demand routes and introduce new destinations, offering passengers more choice and value.”
Industry experts see this as a major revival for the SpiceJet stock, which has witnessed volatility over the past year. The airline’s expansion plan, stronger demand outlook, and international route additions have boosted investor confidence, making SpiceJet shares one of the most talked-about in the aviation sector this week.
