Dubai Police have once again made global headlines after winning five prestigious awards from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) for 2025. The honours were presented during the association’s annual conference in the United States, celebrating international excellence in law enforcement and policing innovation.
Major General Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, praised this achievement as a strong testament to Dubai Police’s global leadership in security and innovation. He said the recognition reflects the continuous efforts of every department and officer committed to institutional excellence, creativity, and global policing standards.
He emphasized that Dubai Police’s success at the IACP Awards showcases its ongoing mission to strengthen the security ecosystem through field projects, advanced training, and leadership development. “Our consistent focus on innovation, preparedness, and strategic partnerships has made Dubai Police a benchmark for policing excellence worldwide,” Al Mulla added.
The force secured three major awards in the institutional category, including the Prevention of Transnational Crime Award (awarded to INTERPOL Team 15), the Leadership in Crime Prevention Award for its “SecurePlay” initiative, and the Leadership in Law Enforcement Research Award, both under the General Department of Training.
In the individual category, two exceptional officers were recognised — Engineer Major Muhammad Omar Almuhairi, who received the Leadership in Police Aviation Award, and Captain Sama Abdulrahim Al Zarouni, honoured with the 40 Under 40 Award for young global leaders in policing.
These achievements not only highlight Dubai Police’s excellence in crime prevention, research, and leadership, but also reinforce the UAE’s commitment to innovation-driven security. The awards serve as yet another milestone in Dubai Police’s journey to remain at the forefront of global policing innovation and excellence.
