Sobhita Dhulipala's Banjara Sabyasachi Lehenga: Wedding Tribute

Sabyasachi Mukherjee shared unseen photos of Sobhita Dhulipala from her wedding celebrations with Naga Chaitanya. Sobhita also posted the pictures on her social media with the caption, “Pictures from a blurry night in Vizag (We called it Young people’s party / YPP. Lol) A Banjara-themed homage to my backpacking days that have shaped the very core of who I am. Archival Sabya for the bohemian soul. I felt seen. Beheld.”

In the photos, Sobhita wore a special handmade ‘chotu lehenga’ inspired by old designs from Sabyasachi’s collections. The outfit included a red blouse, an embroidered skirt, and a dupatta. The skirt was decorated with antique zardozi embroidery and hand-painted mirror work. The dupatta was made from hand-woven cotton and had similar embroidery on its edges. She also wore a classic “Kanthi” blouse with full-length sleeves, a round neck, and embroidered cuffs.

She added beautiful accessories to her look. She wore The East of Bengal Chandbalis made in 22-carat gold from Sabyasachi’s Heritage Jewellery line. She paired it with gold bangles, handmade bracelets, silver anklets, and traditional bellies. Her hairstyle had a tassel with a parandi, and her engagement ring completed the traditional yet stylish look.

Sobhita chose simple makeup for her look. She used brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, kohl for her eyes, long lashes, soft blush on her cheeks, and brown lipstick. Her skin looked healthy and glowing.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got married on December 4, 2024, in Hyderabad at the famous Annapurna Studios. Their wedding was a traditional Telugu ceremony, and only close friends and family attended.

During the ceremonies, Sobhita wore two traditional sarees. She chose a gold Kanjivaram silk saree for the Gowri Puja ceremony. For the main wedding event, she wore a white and red madhuparkam saree, which is a traditional choice for Telugu brides.

Naga Chaitanya looked handsome in a white kurta with gold embroidery. He also wore a traditional mundu and a silk stole with a red border. Their wedding was a mix of tradition, love, and style, and it became a memorable day for the couple and their loved ones.
