The new office is in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 plan, which aims to make the country more advanced in technology. The office will make sure that data can stay inside the country’s borders, which is important for local laws.
Mohamed Zouari, the General Manager for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey at Snowflake, said that this move is important to help Saudi companies meet local rules about data. He also added that Snowflake’s services will give businesses fast, safe, and cost-effective solutions for their data needs.
The company’s services will also be available on Google Cloud in Saudi Arabia. This will help businesses use data to make better decisions and grow. The country’s data market is expected to grow a lot in the next few years, showing that Saudi Arabia wants to use data and technology to improve.
With the new office, customers in the region will have more options for where they want to store their data, based on what works best for their needs. Snowflake’s presence in Saudi Arabia is a big step in the country’s push to be a global leader in data and technology.
