A sorrowful incident unfolded on Wednesday night as six individuals lost their lives due to two road accidents on highways in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh.
The first incident, particularly heart-wrenching, involved four MBBS students from Venkateshwar University who perished when their fast-moving car collided with a stationary DCM truck on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway late that night. Witnesses described the scene as devastating, with the car completely wrecked and no chance for the occupants. Police and forensic teams arrived swiftly, working through the wreckage to uncover the cause. Authorities are reaching out to the victims' families, and officials from Venkateshwar University were present to provide assistance. Identification of the deceased students is currently underway.
In a separate incident on Gajraula National Highway 9, around 8:45 p.m., two young men, identified as Deepak and Nitin from Sona Khurd village in Lakhimpur Kheri district, tragically lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a truck. The young men were reportedly returning home from Gurugram, where they worked as bike riders. Police quickly reached the scene, took custody of the bodies, and arranged for post-mortem examinations. Station House Officer Manoj Kumar confirmed the incident and stated that Panchnamas for both deceased have been prepared. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are currently ongoing, and appropriate legal steps will follow as per the law.
Rajabpur police have confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway for both accidents. Officers and forensic specialists have been working tirelessly through the night to gather evidence, investigate the sites, and piece together the sequence of events leading to the collisions. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise significant caution while navigating highways, especially at night, and to follow traffic regulations diligently to prevent such unfortunate occurrences in the future.
