The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Greater Solo, Indonesia, is celebrating Ramadan with many special activities. Every day, more than 12,000 people visit the mosque to pray, learn, and share meals. The mosque has become a place of togetherness, kindness, and faith during this holy month.

These Ramadan events are organized by the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, which helps people and spreads goodness. The mosque has planned Qur’an readings, Islamic lessons, and religious talks to help people understand their faith better. There are also special lessons about the Hadith (teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him).

One exciting part of the program is the Qur’an recitation competition. In this event, people show how beautifully they can read the holy Qur’an. This encourages both children and adults to learn and improve their recitation skills.

A very important day will also be celebrated, called Zayed Humanitarian Day, which falls on the nineteenth day of Ramadan. This day honors Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding leader of the UAE, who was known for his kindness and charity. On this day, people will gather for prayers and talks about the importance of helping others.

As part of Ramadan traditions, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque is giving free Iftar meals every evening to help those in need. Every day, more than 10,000 meals are served in four big tents inside and outside the mosque. These meals are supported by charity groups from the UAE, showing their strong commitment to helping people.

Around 120 volunteers, including local students and residents, are helping with meal distribution and other activities. They make sure everyone gets food and enjoys a peaceful Iftar. Besides this, they also help organize prayers, classes, and other Ramadan programs.

Dr. Sultan Faisal Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque Centre in Solo, spoke about the importance of these activities. He said:

“We want Ramadan to be a special and meaningful time for everyone. These events bring the Emirati and Indonesian people closer, and they remind us of the values of love, peace, and kindness. Ramadan is about faith, unity, and giving to others.”

Dr. Al Rumaithi also said that the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Greater Solo is now an important Islamic center, visited by many worshippers and scholars. During Ramadan, the mosque invites famous Qur’an reciters from the UAE to lead Tarawih prayers. Their beautiful recitations make the prayers even more special.

With its prayers, teachings, and acts of kindness, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque continues to bring people together, spreading peace, faith, and love during this holy month of Ramadan.
