Dubai, UAE – A Proud Day for the Nation
In a proud moment for the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, attended a special military event showcasing the strength, skills, and discipline of the 22nd batch of National Service Programme recruits for the year 2024–2025.
The grand event took place at the Seih Hafeer Training Centre, a key military training location in the UAE. Alongside Sheikh Hamdan, several other important figures from the UAE Armed Forces were present. This included Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, many senior officers from the Ministry of Defence, and the proud families of the new recruits.

A Day to Celebrate the Nation’s Youth
The event began with the playing of the UAE national anthem, which filled the air with a deep sense of patriotism and pride. This was followed by an exciting and powerful display of military skills by the recruits. Their performances showed how much effort and training they had undergone.
The demonstration included advanced combat and tactical exercises, impressive infantry formations, group coordination, and important field skills. Every movement was sharp, every step was in sync, and every action displayed discipline and teamwork.
Sheikh Hamdan’s Praise for the Recruits
Sheikh Hamdan was deeply impressed by the performance and the dedication shown by the young recruits. He praised them for their discipline, strength, and readiness, saying they were now well-prepared to protect and serve the UAE.
He also appreciated the National Service Programme’s leadership for organizing such a high-level training programme. He mentioned that such training helps prepare young people to defend their country with honour, loyalty, and commitment.
Sheikh Hamdan added that the strong physical and tactical performance of the recruits clearly reflected the support and guidance provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
According to Sheikh Hamdan, the performance of the recruits was not just a show of strength, but a result of years of vision and guidance from the UAE leadership. This vision focuses on preparing youth to take on important roles in protecting the nation and contributing to its future.
Investment in Training and Talent
“Preparing national personnel,” Sheikh Hamdan said, “requires careful planning and strategic investment in training. It means teaching recruits both physical skills and deep military knowledge.”
He explained that the high level of readiness and professionalism seen in the recruits was a sign of how successful the training had been. These young men are now well-equipped with military skills, discipline, and confidence to face any challenge and to defend the country with strength.
He added that the military programme combines all the essential elements:
Theoretical classes to learn the basic concepts of defence
Practical exercises to apply those concepts
Physical fitness training to build endurance and strength
Martial arts for self-defence
Discipline to build character and unity
Together, these form a complete training experience, helping the recruits grow into strong and capable defenders of the UAE.
Families Witness Their Sons Shine
One of the most touching parts of the event was the presence of the recruits' families. Fathers, mothers, siblings, and relatives watched with pride as their loved ones demonstrated the results of months of hard training. Many had tears in their eyes, seeing the transformation of young boys into responsible and brave soldiers.
The families’ presence also highlighted the strong support system behind every soldier. These young recruits don’t just carry weapons; they carry the hopes and dreams of their families and the trust of their nation.
A Bright Future for the UAE Armed Forces
The National Service Programme plays a very important role in the UAE. It is not just about training soldiers; it is about building a generation of responsible, loyal, and skilled young people.
With the kind of training and leadership the programme offers, the future of the UAE’s defence forces looks bright. These young recruits will go on to serve in different branches of the military, using the knowledge and strength they have gained to protect the country and support peace.
Strong Leadership, Strong Nation
This successful event was another example of how the UAE's leaders are always thinking ahead. By investing in their youth, they are investing in the future security, peace, and progress of the country.
Sheikh Hamdan’s visit to the training centre was not just a formality. It was a strong message to all citizens: the nation values every individual who steps up to serve and protect.
A Moment of National Pride
The event at Seih Hafeer was more than just a display of military power. It was a celebration of national pride, hard work, and unity. The performances of the recruits showed that the UAE’s youth are ready to face the future with courage and commitment.
Sheikh Hamdan’s words of encouragement and support reminded everyone that training, discipline, and loyalty are the keys to a strong and secure nation.
With the continued guidance of the UAE’s wise leadership and the dedication of its young people, the country will continue to stand strong—today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
