His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an important Emiri Decree. This decree officially establishes a new government institution called the Sharjah Hospitality Group. This group will play a big role in growing and improving hospitality services and wellbeing projects in the Emirate of Sharjah.
What Is the Sharjah Hospitality Group?
The Sharjah Hospitality Group is a government entity that will work independently but will be linked to the Sharjah Family and Community Council. This means the Group will have its own legal rights and the power to make decisions to reach its goals and manage its duties. It is officially called “Sharjah Hospitality Group” in English.
The headquarters of this Group will be in the city of Sharjah. But, the Chairperson of the Group can decide to open branches or offices in other cities or regions inside Sharjah if needed.

Leadership and Management
The Group will be led by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, who will act as the Chairperson. She will be responsible for making important decisions, including appointing people who will help manage the Group and its related entities.
The Chairperson has many powers such as:
Creating new affiliated entities under the Group.
Merging existing entities or dissolving them if needed.
Forming or removing committees or councils related to the Group.
Approving budgets for the Group and its affiliates.
Delegating responsibilities to senior staff.
Setting up or changing administrative jobs and organizational structures.
This ensures that the Sharjah Hospitality Group can work smoothly and adapt quickly to changes.
What Will the Sharjah Hospitality Group Do?
The Group has a big job to do. Its main responsibility is to develop public policies to improve hospitality services in Sharjah. It will work on strategic plans and set high standards for how hospitality and related services should be managed and delivered. The Group will also create internal rules and systems to organize its work and that of its affiliated entities.
In addition, the Group will:
Manage its facilities and establishments according to the best local and international professional standards.
Implement various programs, initiatives, and projects focused on hospitality and wellbeing.
Organize contracts and build partnerships with public and private sectors inside and outside Sharjah.
Monitor service quality and performance regularly using evaluation tools.
Use oversight and improvement mechanisms to ensure continuous development.
Train and develop skilled human resources in the hospitality field, improving their abilities in coordination with other authorities.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Chairperson.
The Sharjah Hospitality Group aims to become a central institution that helps raise the quality and reach of hospitality services, making Sharjah a better place for residents and visitors.
Entities Under the Sharjah Hospitality Group
The decree clearly states some existing institutions that will be part of the Group. These include:
Sharjah Ladies Club and its branches: A popular place focused on women’s activities and services.
Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre: A well-known center for hosting events, meetings, and receptions.
Besides these, the Chairperson can add any other projects or establishments related to hospitality, wellbeing, or similar services under the Group. This means the Group can grow and take on new responsibilities over time.
Financial Resources and Budget
The Sharjah Hospitality Group will be funded through different sources:
Government allocations specifically set for the Group.
Revenues generated from the activities of its affiliated entities.
Income from investments made by the Group with its funds.
Sponsorships and partnerships with other organizations.
Any other financial resources approved by the Chairperson.
All the funds will be kept in banks approved by the Chairperson. The money can only be used for the purposes allowed by the decree and the laws. Any other use must have the Chairperson’s approval.
This careful financial management will help the Group achieve its goals efficiently and transparently.
Importance of the Sharjah Hospitality Group
The creation of the Sharjah Hospitality Group shows a strong commitment from Sharjah’s leadership to develop and support the hospitality sector. Hospitality is very important for the Emirate as it helps attract tourists, create jobs, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
By having a dedicated Group to handle these responsibilities, Sharjah ensures that there is a clear focus on improving services related to hotels, events, wellbeing centers, and more. The Group will also help Sharjah stay up-to-date with global hospitality standards, which will boost its reputation internationally.
What Does This Mean for Residents and Visitors?
For people living in Sharjah and those who visit, the Sharjah Hospitality Group will bring many benefits. Services related to hotels, event centers, clubs, and wellbeing facilities will be better organized and improved in quality. Residents can enjoy more programs and initiatives that focus on wellbeing and hospitality.
Visitors will experience higher standards in hospitality services, making their stay in Sharjah more enjoyable and comfortable. The Group’s focus on training staff means more skilled professionals will be available to serve the community and tourists alike.
His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s Emiri Decree to establish the Sharjah Hospitality Group is a significant step for Sharjah’s future. With strong leadership under Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi and clear powers, the Group is well-positioned to lead the development of hospitality and wellbeing services in the Emirate.
By managing important centers like the Sharjah Ladies Club and Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, and by expanding to include more entities, the Group will ensure that Sharjah remains a leading destination for hospitality in the region.
The careful management of financial resources and focus on quality, training, and partnerships will help the Group succeed in its mission. This initiative will bring positive changes for residents, businesses, and visitors in Sharjah for many years to come.
