This official decree announces the formation of the "Sharjah Family and Community Council"—a council dedicated to taking care of family and community matters in Sharjah.

What Is the Sharjah Family and Community Council?

The Sharjah Family and Community Council is a new government body that will work to improve the lives of families, women, children, and the entire community in the Emirate of Sharjah.

This council will have its main office in Sharjah city, but it can also open new offices in other cities across the Emirate if needed. The council has been given legal powers so that it can carry out its work fully and effectively.

Who Will Lead the Council?

• Sharjah Family Development

• Nama Women Advancement Establishment

• Sharjah Women Sports

• Sharjah Business Women Council

• Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council

• Child Safety

• Rubu’ Qarn Foundation

• Big Heart Foundation

• Sharjah Hospitality Group

• The Cultural Office

• The Media Bureau

• All initiatives by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher

These entities will now work together as part of the new council to ensure better coordination and stronger results.

The Chairperson also has the right to add, merge, or remove any of these entities in the future.

Transition from the Old Council

This new council is being set up to replace the former Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah. Everything that belonged to the previous council—including rights, property, and responsibilities—will now be transferred to the Sharjah Family and Community Council.
