Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, officially inaugurated the Advanced Cardiology Unit at Burjeel Specialty Hospital in the Al Faiha area of Sharjah. The opening ceremony began with Sheikh Salem cutting the ribbon, symbolizing the launch of this state-of-the-art facility.
During the inauguration, Sheikh Salem received a comprehensive briefing on the advanced equipment and innovative techniques employed in cardiology and cardiac surgery at the unit. The hospital is equipped to provide a wide range of services, including coronary artery surgery, off-pump beating heart procedures, valve replacement surgeries, aortic aneurysm repairs, and various vascular surgeries.

Following the formal opening, Sheikh Salem toured the hospital's various departments, taking the opportunity to familiarize himself with the medical services available to patients, as well as the latest technologies and standards in healthcare being implemented at the facility. As a token of appreciation for his support, the hospital presented Sheikh Salem with a commemorative plaque, and he participated in group photographs with attendees, including hospital staff and local dignitaries.
The Advanced Cardiology Unit is designed to deliver comprehensive and advanced healthcare by combining cutting-edge technology with a skilled team of cardiac surgeons and highly experienced medical professionals. The unit also aims to enhance community health by launching an early detection program for heart diseases. This initiative is intended to promote preventive care, thereby minimizing the need for complex surgical interventions and improving overall cardiac health within the community.
