Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has made significant improvements to its Seasonal Network for marine transport services. By using the latest scientific and technological methods, RTA is now better able to adjust to the changing needs of passengers during busy seasons like public holidays, festivals, and major events. This move shows how RTA is able to quickly adapt to different situations and improve the services it offers.

The project behind this improvement involved creating special computer algorithms that can look at large amounts of data from different sources. These algorithms help RTA develop a flexible plan for the marine transport network, which can be adjusted as needed. The model used in this plan can be applied seasonally, meaning it is reviewed for each season to ensure it works best for that time of year. The goal has been to keep customers happy, increase the number of people using the services, and make the operations more efficient.

To support this, RTA used a method called predictive analysis, which looks at past data to predict what might happen in the future. This helped the team understand how changes in the service could impact things like passenger numbers, trip frequency, and revenue. By using this information, RTA can adjust the schedule and number of trips to match how many people are using the service and how much money the service is making.

Starting on May 2, RTA will roll out the summer season plan. This plan uses data to give RTA a clear picture of how many passengers are using the marine services, how much money is being earned, and how full the boats are. This helps RTA predict future demand and adjust the service to meet that need.

By using advanced technology, big data, and smart systems, RTA can now offer a more flexible and efficient marine transport service. These improvements ensure the services run smoothly and according to a well-organized plan, following the best practices used worldwide in the industry.

The new system will be put into place on a seasonal basis, meaning it will change according to the needs of each season. This structure will make sure that customers continue to have the best experience possible while also improving how full the services are and cutting down on operating costs for marine transport services.
