Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President Donald Trump will have a phone conversation on Tuesday between 1300 and 1500 GMT. The two leaders will discuss ways to resolve the Ukraine conflict and improve relations between Russia and the United States, according to the Kremlin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin and Trump already have some understanding based on their earlier phone call on February 12 and other discussions between officials from both countries. However, many important issues still need to be addressed.

"There are still many questions about how to further improve relations between Russia and the United States and how to find a solution for the Ukraine conflict. The two presidents will talk about these matters during their call," Peskov told reporters.

He also mentioned that there is no fixed time limit for the conversation. "The leaders will talk for as long as they feel necessary," he added.
