Under the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, a key figure in the UAE's leadership, PureHealth has expanded its Emirati Women Chapter (EWC) to create even more social impact. Sheikha Fatima is not only the Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), but also the President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC), the Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and known as the "Mother of the Nation." The 2025 cycle of the EWC introduces two new tracks that focus on empowering senior Emirati women and creating opportunities for People of Determination to take leadership roles and contribute to the nation’s development.

The Emirati Women Chapter, launched in March 2024, is a partnership with the General Women’s Union, which has been a powerful force in the UAE since 1975. The chapter’s mission is to support women in the UAE by helping them build skills in areas like public speaking, creative expression, and public health. The first cycle of the program was a great success, helping 28 Emirati women reach major personal and professional achievements. Now, with the new cycle, more women will have the chance to grow and take on leadership roles, which is in line with PureHealth’s commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and Emiratisation (supporting Emirati citizens in the workforce).

One of the new tracks in the 2025 cycle will focus on empowering senior Emirati women. This initiative will provide these women with opportunities to mentor, advise, and lead in their communities. The idea is to encourage mentorship between generations, where older women can share their wisdom and experience, guiding younger generations and strengthening the community as a whole.

The other new initiative will provide support for People of Determination, helping them get involved in community projects and preparing them for leadership roles. This program will offer tailored resources and mentorship to help them gain new skills, pursue leadership opportunities, and make a meaningful impact on society. The goal is to break down any barriers these individuals may face and promote inclusivity, leading to lasting positive changes in society.

Her Excellency Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the General Women’s Union, said, “True progress happens when everyone in society has a chance to contribute, no matter their age or abilities. By fostering collaboration and giving everyone a voice, we build a united community that thrives on diversity and works together to overcome challenges.”

Her Excellency Al Rym Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, added, “The experiences and knowledge of our elders, combined with the strength and resilience of People of Determination, are treasures for our society. By valuing their contributions, we ensure their legacy will inspire future generations and create a community where everyone is empowered.”

Shaista Asif, the Group CEO of PureHealth, explained, “Giving people the chance to grow and become leaders is at the heart of our vision for the future. The Emirati Women Chapter shows how mentorship and inclusion can help shape the leaders of tomorrow. By nurturing Emirati talent and providing women with the tools to lead, we are building a healthier, fairer society where everyone can reach their full potential.”

The success of the Emirati Women Chapter was celebrated at the Remarkable Emirati Women Forum, an event where over 500 female leaders came together to celebrate the achievements of the first cohort of graduates. These women presented their work in areas like public speaking, literature, and public health, demonstrating the huge impact the program has had on their lives. The event also sparked important conversations about the future of women’s leadership in the UAE.

Two of the program’s standout graduates, Sheikha Moza bint Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Hamda bint Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, have been appointed as ambassadors to lead major community projects. Sheikha Moza will focus on engaging senior citizens, while Sheikha Hamda will work on promoting digital wellbeing, and raising awareness about the responsible use of technology to support healthier, more connected communities.

The graduates of the Emirati Women Chapter continue to play a key role in the program's development, as they mentor new participants and help create a self-sustaining network of leaders. This cycle of mentorship and leadership ensures that the program's positive impact will continue to grow, bringing lasting change to the community and empowering people across the UAE.
