Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players are gearing up for another high-stakes Tera Raid event as Goodra the Unrivaled takes center stage. The Seven-Star Dragon Pokemon will be available for a limited time in raid dens, giving trainers a chance to test their skills and expand their collections.

First introduced in Pokemon X and Y, Goodra is a pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokemon from the Kalos region. Known for its high special defense and mixed offensive capabilities, Goodra evolves from Sliggoo when leveled up in rainy conditions. In Legends: Arceus, both Sliggoo and Goodra received Hisuian variants, adding Steel as a secondary type.

Goodra’s arsenal includes moves like Dragon Pulse, Surf, Poison Tail, and Earthquake, making it versatile in battle. Its abilities—Sap Sipper, Gooey, and Hydration—further challenge trainers, requiring careful planning. Sap Sipper, in particular, grants immunity to Grass-type moves while boosting Goodra’s attack, forcing trainers to adapt their approach.

The Tera Raid event begins on Thursday, November 20, at 7:00 PM Eastern and runs until Sunday, November 23, 6:59 PM Eastern. Players who miss the first round get a second opportunity from November 27 to 30. In this event, Goodra the Unrivaled will appear with a Water-type Tera form and will award trainers the coveted Mightiest Mark upon defeat.

While Goodra boasts strong special defenses, its physical defense is comparatively low. This balance allows skilled trainers to exploit certain weaknesses once its abilities are neutralized. Moves that remove abilities, such as Gastro Acid or Skill Swap, are particularly effective. After disabling Goodra’s defenses, Pokemon like Iron Hands or Serperior can deliver significant damage to claim victory.

As trainers prepare for this draconic showdown, understanding Goodra’s strengths, weaknesses, and potential strategies will be key to success. The upcoming raid promises to test both individual skill and team coordination, making it one of the most anticipated events in Scarlet and Violet this November.
