Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, is being sued by his sister, Annie Altman. She says that Sam sexually abused her for nine years, from 1997 to 2006, starting when she was just three years old. Sam denies these claims and says they are completely false.

Annie had made similar accusations on social media in 2021 but did not take legal action at that time. In her lawsuit, she says the abuse happened often, several times a week, at their family home in Missouri. She claims it caused her emotional pain, depression, and other mental struggles.
Annie is asking for a jury trial and wants to be paid $75,000 for the suffering she went through.

In response to the lawsuit, Sam Altman and his family, including their mother Connie and brothers Max and Jack, shared a statement on social media. They said they care about Annie and are worried about her mental health. They mentioned that it is hard to take care of a family member who has these problems.

The family also said they have tried to help Annie by giving her money and paying for her rent. They even offered to buy her a house so she would have a safe place to live. But they said Annie still keeps asking for more money and has made hurtful and false claims, especially about Sam.

In 2021, Annie posted on social media saying both Sam and Jack had abused her in many ways, including physical, emotional, and financial abuse.
The case will now go to court, and it has become widely known because Sam Altman is a well-known person in the tech world. The family hopes Annie will get the help she needs, while Sam continues to deny the accusations against him.
