In coordination with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi, senior officials from Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector conducted a field visit to assess patient care and treatment readiness amid ongoing regional developments.
His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), visited patients receiving treatment at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. The visit aimed to evaluate their medical conditions, review treatment plans, and ensure the highest standards of care are being delivered.
Accompanying the Chairman were several key healthcare leaders, including Her Excellency Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Dr Marwan Alkaab, CEO of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, His Excellency Dr Rashid Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, and His Excellency Dr Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri from the Response and Recovery Sector.
During the visit, officials met with patients and their families, receiving comprehensive briefings from medical teams on case progress and treatment pathways. The discussions highlighted the importance of integrated healthcare that addresses both clinical and emotional needs.
Al Mansoori emphasized that Abu Dhabi’s healthcare system continues to operate with high efficiency, supported by advanced, intelligence-driven infrastructure. This system enables real-time coordination, anticipates demand, and ensures uninterrupted healthcare services under all circumstances.
He also underscored the vital role of the Unified Medical Operations Command Centre in enhancing system-wide visibility, enabling predictive planning, and ensuring rapid response across the healthcare network.
“The safety, wellbeing, and care of our community remain our top priorities,” Al Mansoori stated. “Meeting patients and their families reinforces our commitment to ensuring that every individual feels supported and cared for.”
He added that Abu Dhabi’s health system is built for resilience, operating seamlessly across entities to maintain service continuity while upholding the highest standards of care for the community.
