Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, received the first Emirati Day for Education Award. This award was given by the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) to thank him for his hard work in improving education, helping young people, and making schools and universities better in the UAE.

This award comes after Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, announced that February 28 will be celebrated as Emirati Day for Education every year. The event also remembered an important moment in 1982, when Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE, and other leaders saw the first group of teachers graduate from UAEU.
The award ceremony was attended by many important people, including Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and Chancellor of UAEU, as well as officials, education experts, and students. The event showed how much education means to the UAE and how it helps the country grow and succeed.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan thanked everyone for the award and said he was very happy to receive it. He talked about how education is very important for the UAE’s future and how the country has always worked hard to give students the best learning opportunities. He also spoke about the dreams of Sheikh Zayed, who always believed that education is the key to success and made sure that schools and universities were built to help the people of the UAE.
A discussion was also held at the event called "Envisioning the Future of Education in the UAE." Experts like Prof. Ahmed Ali Al Raeesi, Acting Vice Chancellor of UAEU, and Dr. Ali Al Ahbabi, Director of the UAEU Center for Public Policy and Leadership shared their ideas on how to make education better. Mohammed Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the, led the talk, which focused on helping students think creatively and solve problems in smart ways.
Sheikh Nahyan also said that the UAE will always support students and teachers, making sure that schools and universities give the best education. He said that Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is working hard to improve education in the country and to make the UAE a world leader in learning and knowledge.
The event ended with a special show called "Beacon of Education," which told the story of how education in the UAE has grown over the years. It showed how schools and universities have helped students become successful and how education will continue to play a big role in the country’s future.
At the event, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh said that education is the base of every strong country. He thanked the leaders of the UAE for their support in making education better. He also said that investing in education is the best way to make the country stronger and ensure a bright future.
The first-ever Emirati Day for Education was a big success. It celebrated the UAE’s journey in education, honored those who have worked hard for students, and promised a future where learning continues to be a top priority.
