Mohammed bin Rashid leads swearing-in of new DIFC Courts judges

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, led a special event where three new judges joined the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts. This event was very important for Dubai and showed how much justice matters for the country and its people.

The event was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He is the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, and the President of DIFC. His presence showed how much the UAE values its courts and their role in making Dubai a top place for businesses and trade.

Sheikh Mohammed wished the three new judges all the best in their new jobs. He said that justice is very important for making a strong and fair society. He also said that the courts must always work honestly and fairly because this helps people trust them. When people trust the courts, more businesses will come to Dubai, and this will bring more opportunities and growth.

Sheikh Mohammed also talked about how DIFC has become one of the best financial centers in the world. He said that this success is because of its strong values, like honesty and openness. He told everyone that the courts must stay independent and do their work well to keep Dubai’s good name around the world.
The three judges who joined the DIFC Courts are Thomas Bathurst, Sapna Jhangiani, and Roger Stewart. They will work in the Court of Appeal, which handles important cases. During the event, the judges made a promise to do their work honestly and fairly. They said they are very thankful for this chance to work in Dubai and to help the legal system.

Many important people came to the event to show their support. These included His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who is the Chairman of Dubai Airports and Emirates Airlines. His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Chairman of Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, was also there. Other important guests included Essa Kazim, the Governor of DIFC, Justice Wayne Stewart Martin, the Chief Justice of DIFC Courts, and Justice Omar Al Mheiri, the Director of DIFC Courts.
