His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the Joint Operations Room, where teams from 55 different government, semi-government, and private organizations are working together to make sure everything is safe for the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Dubai. The plan is to secure 36 different celebration spots across the city.
The inspection took place on the last day of the year and included important leaders, such as His Excellency Lieutenant General Talal Belhoul Al Falasi, Director of Dubai's State Security Department, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the head of Dubai Police. Many other senior officers from different departments were also there.
Security Teams Get Ready for the Event
Sheikh Mohammed was given an update on the security preparations by Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, who is the Acting Chairman of the Events Security Committee. He explained that over 8,500 police officers and 1,145 patrol vehicles from Dubai Police will be out on the streets to make sure everything goes smoothly. Additionally, there will be 33 marine rescue boats ready in case of any emergency.

Sheikh Mohammed was also told about the fire safety and emergency services by Major General Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, who is in charge of Dubai Civil Defence. More than 1,000 firefighters will be stationed at key locations to ensure they can respond quickly if there is a fire or any other emergency.
Managing Traffic and Medical Services
Hussein Al Banna, who works with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), gave a detailed plan about how traffic will be managed in busy areas like Burj Khalifa. The Traffic Management and Transportation Systems Committee will work closely with the security forces to make sure there is no traffic jam and people can move safely.
Sheikh Mohammed also received a briefing from Meshal Abdul Kareem Julfar, Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Services, about the preparations for medical emergencies during the celebrations. There will be 224 ambulance stations across the city, including five on boats, to respond to emergencies. Over 590 paramedics will be available at different locations to help with any medical issues.
Emergency Medical Help for the Celebrations
Additionally, Dubai Health has set up a fully equipped field hospital near Burj Khalifa. There will be seven other medical stations to give emergency care at the celebration sites. Six hospitals and four clinics in Dubai will be on standby to treat any injuries. In total, 1,800 medical staff members, including doctors and nurses, will be ready to help people if needed.
Preparing for the Events
Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Director of Operations at Dubai Police, explained how the police and other teams will manage different operations at all the event sites. Ahmed Al Khaja, the CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, shared information about the many events planned for New Year’s Eve. There will be 175 major events and over 3,000 activities in restaurants alone across the city.
Services for People at the Celebrations
Sheikh Mohammed also visited service tents set up in Downtown Dubai. These tents will help people with lost and found items, first aid, guidance for visitors, and even help for lost children. The goal is to make sure everyone feels safe and has a good time while celebrating.
