Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities is holding special events in Al Ain during Ramadan. These events are part of the university's effort to celebrate the holy month, promote good values like community spirit, and teach people about peace and living together in harmony.
The events will help families come together and spread happiness during Ramadan. Some activities will focus on teaching young people about the importance of family and encourage them to join in more community services.

These activities will take place in different locations, including the Zayed House for Islamic Culture and Abu Dhabi councils. There will be cultural and religious programs to teach people about Emirati family traditions. At the same time, the events will allow everyone to enjoy themselves by taking part in poetry, literary activities, and competitions.
A major part of these events will be giving out Iftar meals to break the fast. These meals will be handed out at busy places like intersections in Al Ain. The Suhoor meals will also be prepared with help from the Al Watan Volunteer Team.
The university is also launching an initiative called “Humanities and Youth,” in partnership with the Al Ain Youth Council. The aim is to encourage discussions about national values during Ramadan. The initiative will host three talks at the House of Mohammed bin Khalifa. These talks will focus on how platforms can help build national identity, teach about the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and highlight the important role of family in building strong societies. This initiative will bring young people and experts together to share ideas on personal growth and community service.
The university will also hold several lectures about Islamic culture at the Majlis of Dar Zayed for Islamic Culture. In another program called “Knowledge is Light,” the university will work with the Family Development Foundation to help senior citizens learn Arabic. A group of students will help teach reading, writing, and speaking Arabic.
Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, the Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, said, “We organize these events to serve the community and strengthen people’s faith. We are also committed to celebrating Ramadan every year.”
He added that these events help build unity, harmony, and friendship among people. They also provide a chance for everyone to learn more about Emirati customs and traditions during Ramadan.
Dr. Al Dhaheri said, "These events support the university's mission of showing the good values of Emirati society and raising awareness about the importance of our national identity."
