Air France, KLM Suspend Middle East Flights Over Tensions

At least two major European airlines have suspended flights to several Middle East cities due to growing geopolitical tensions in the region.

Air France announced it will temporarily stop its services to Dubai, citing security concerns. The airline said it is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. Air France added that it will provide updates as the situation develops.

Dutch airline KLM also confirmed it has halted flights to Tel Aviv, Dubai, Dammam, and Riyadh until further notice. The airline said it will also avoid flying through the airspace of countries including Iraq, Iran, Israel, and some Gulf states. KLM did not specify the exact reason but said it is coordinating with Dutch authorities.

The flight suspensions come as tensions rise between the United States and Iran. US President Donald Trump said a large US naval force is heading toward the Gulf and that Washington is closely watching Iran. Although Trump said talks with Iran are possible, he confirmed that military preparations are ongoing.
