Australian track sensation Michelle Jenneke, who gained international fame during her memorable warm-up routine at the 2012 World Championships, has just revealed her engagement. She shared the delightful news via Instagram, indicating that she has been in a private relationship for over eight and a half years, known only to close friends and family until now.
Jenneke is set to marry fellow Australian Olympian Alex Beck. Both athletes have chosen to maintain a low profile regarding their personal lives, mostly using social media to share aspects of their training and competitions. In the images shared, the couple radiates joy, with Jenneke proudly displaying her engagement ring.
Michelle Jenneke represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics and will compete again at the 2024 Paris Games, participating in the 100-meter hurdles. While she did not progress beyond the heats in her Olympic appearances, she remains a beloved figure in the athletics community due to her vibrant personality and dedicated fanbase.
Alex Beck also competed for Australia at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where he ran the men’s 400 meters. Both athletes have achieved notable milestones in their careers, with Jenneke excelling in youth events and Beck earning medals at the Oceania Championships in 2024. Their engagement announcement has been met with warm enthusiasm from fans, marking a joyful chapter in the lives of these celebrated Australian sports icons.
