Masdar City Free Zone Recognized as UAE's Most Rapidly Expanding Free Zone

Recently honored with three prestigious awards, Masdar City Free Zone solidifies its status as a pivotal business hub in the UAE, showcasing phenomenal growth, robust support for entrepreneurs, and leadership in technological advancements.

The accolades come after a remarkable year with a 36 percent increase in the number of companies operating within the free zone. This translates to a staggering 172 percent growth compared to the previous year, as nearly 1,000 new companies emerged in 2025 alone.

Today, with over 2,000 registered companies, the Masdar City Free Zone stands out as a prime location for start-ups, which now contribute to more than half of its business demographic. Job opportunities surged as well, increasing by 33 percent, which is a noteworthy 71 percent yearly rise.

The free zone has been notably recognized for its commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises. With flexible licensing options, cost-efficient business packages, and streamlined regulations, SMEs are finding it easier to launch and grow. A significant aspect of this environment is its state-of-the-art flexi research and development lab that fosters innovation and product testing across various sectors.

Masdar City Free Zone is attracting businesses from high-impact fields like artificial intelligence, clean energy, agritech, life sciences, smart mobility, and space exploration.
