Luka Doncic scored 29 points and made nine assists, helping the Los Angeles Lakers win against the Los Angeles Clippers 108-102 on Sunday night. This was the second time in three days that the Lakers defeated the Clippers. LeBron James added 17 points, and rookie Dalton Knecht played well, scoring 19 points. Even though the Lakers were missing two injured players, Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, they still managed to win their sixth game in a row. The team has now won 16 out of their last 19 games.

Kawhi Leonard played a great game for the Clippers, scoring 33 points, which is his highest this season. The Clippers were losing badly but tried to make a comeback after falling behind by 21 points. However, they could not complete the comeback and lost for the fifth time in their last six games. Norman Powell, one of their key players, started the game strong by scoring four points in the first quarter. But he had to leave early due to a hamstring injury. Powell had just returned after missing five games because of a knee problem.

Just like their last match, which the Lakers won 106-102, this game was also close in the end. Leonard hit a three-pointer with less than two minutes left, cutting the Lakers' lead to 107-102. The Clippers had a chance to turn the game around, but they missed their last six shots and failed to score again.

The Clippers struggled a lot in the first half. They did not score at all in the last 7 minutes and 35 seconds of the second quarter. They missed 10 shots in a row and made three mistakes with the ball. Even though they fought back later, Powell’s injury made things harder for them.

The Lakers, on the other hand, are looking very strong. Even though they have faced many injuries and a tough schedule, they continue to win games. Doncic is getting more comfortable, and the team has now climbed to second place in the Western Conference with a record of 38 wins and 21 losses.

A big moment in the game happened when the Lakers were leading 86-66 late in the third quarter. Doncic went to the bench for a rest, and the Clippers quickly took advantage. They scored 22 points while the Lakers only managed seven, cutting the lead and making the game close again.

LeBron James is also about to set a new record. He is only one point away from becoming the first player in NBA history to score 50,000 total points in both the regular season and playoffs.

The Lakers will play their next game at home against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, while the Clippers will travel to face the Phoenix Suns.
