The family of the late Obaid Al Heloo has announced a generous donation of AED 10 million to support the Fathers’ Endowment campaign. This campaign was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The campaign aims to honour fathers in the UAE by creating a sustainable endowment fund. The fund will be used to provide healthcare and medical treatment for people in need, ensuring that less fortunate individuals receive the care they deserve.
Part of a Larger Humanitarian Effort
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). This organisation focuses on promoting sustainable charity work through community involvement and creative programmes.

Wide Community Support
Since its launch, the campaign has received overwhelming support from all parts of the community. Government agencies, private companies, businessmen, and individuals have come together to donate. This strong participation highlights the spirit of solidarity and compassion during Ramadan, making it a significant global humanitarian movement.
The UAE continues to set an example of kindness and generosity, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in international charity efforts.
A Noble Cause
The family of Obaid Al Heloo praised the campaign, calling it a noble initiative by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. They said it offers a way to help the less fortunate improve their lives by providing long-term healthcare support.
The family added, “Contributing to this cause during the holy month of Ramadan is the best way to honour our father’s memory. We believe it is our duty to help people in need, wherever they may be. The UAE community has always shown its generosity, and we are proud to be part of this meaningful effort.”
How to Donate
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign continues to welcome donations from both individuals and organisations. There are six main ways to contribute:
DubaiNow App: Donations can be made through the DubaiNow app by selecting the “Donations” tab.
Jood Platform: Donors can also contribute through Dubai’s community contribution platform: Jood.ae.
The Fathers’ Endowment campaign stands as a powerful symbol of compassion and unity, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to supporting those in need, both locally and around the world.
