Veteran leader and former Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan was rushed to a private hospital after he suffered a heart attack on Sunday morning.The 100-year-old politician is currently under treatment at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST). Doctors have confirmed that he is in the ICU, receiving expert care, and his condition is being closely monitored.
Sources from the hospital said that he was brought in with chest pain, and after checkups, it was confirmed as a mild heart attack.

Achuthanandan, a senior Communist leader, served as the Chief Minister of Kerala from 2006 to 2011 and is known for his strong stance against corruption and land encroachment.
He had retired from public life in recent years due to health issues but continued to remain a respected figure in Kerala’s political landscape.Many political leaders and supporters have expressed concern and have wished for his speedy recovery. His contribution to Kerala's development, especially in the areas of education and social reforms, is widely remembered.Further updates on his health are expected later today.
