On the night of May 10, there was trouble near the border between India and Pakistan. While India was following the rules of the 2021 ceasefire (peace agreement), Pakistan broke those rules and started firing without any reason.
As per reports, Pakistan used small weapons and also fired mortar shells in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir. This attack hurt Indian soldiers and created fear among the people living in villages near the border.
People who know about army matters said that India has always tried to keep peace and follow the 2021 agreement. India did not fire first or try to start any fight. But when Pakistan attacked, the Indian Army had to answer back to protect its own soldiers and the nearby people.
Some army officers also shared that Pakistan has done this kind of thing before. Whenever they are under pressure or want to create problems, they fire at the Indian side even when there is no reason. This time also, the firing was sudden and without warning.

After this firing, people living close to the Line of Control (LoC) were scared. Some families had to leave their homes to stay safe. The Indian Army is now keeping a close watch in that area and making sure people are safe.
Many believe that this kind of action by Pakistan makes it hard to trust them, even after peace talks and promises. India is still trying to keep peace but will not allow anyone to harm its people or soldiers.
