In Imphal, the capital of Manipur, many women took to the streets on Monday. They were angry and upset because they feel that the government is not doing enough to bring peace and normal life back to the state. The protest happened at a place called Singjamei, where women blocked the roads and shouted slogans.
These women are asking the elected leaders (MLAs) of the state to either take quick action and form a proper working government or resign from their positions. They said it has been over a year since violence broke out in the state, but even now there is no full-time government in place to solve the people's problems.

One of the women protestors said, "We gave our votes to these MLAs so they could help us in tough times. But they have not done their duty properly. If they can’t form a proper government and protect the people, they should quit."
Many of the protestors were from local women’s groups. They also said that the people of Manipur are tired of the silence from those in power. They want leaders who will actually work for peace and development in the state.
The women added that it is painful to see so many people living in relief camps, far from their homes, without proper food or safety. They want the leaders to listen to the voices of the public and take action quickly.
The protest ended peacefully, but the message from the women was very clear: Manipur needs strong leadership now, not silence.
