After months of swirling rumors, pop sensation Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have officially acknowledged their romance on social media. Perry took to Instagram to unveil a collection of photos and videos, featuring a delightful selfie of both beaming together as they savor sushi during their trip to Japan.
The post, titled “tokyo times on tour and more”—with heart and flower emojis edited out—captures cherished moments from their enchanting stay in Japan. A recent snapshot of the couple clasping hands has further solidified speculation of their relationship's authenticity.
Trudeau also shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) depicting the couple alongside Japan’s ex-Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko. He remarked, “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were thrilled to sit down with you and Yuko.”
Fans have expressed their excitement online, with one stating, “OH CANADA!!! MAKING IT OFFICIAL!!!” while another added, “Your happiness is our happiness. Sending all our love!”
Rumors about the couple began in July when they were seen dining together in Montreal, followed by Trudeau enjoying one of Perry’s concerts. The couple made their first public appearance together in October in Paris, celebrating Perry’s 41st birthday while holding hands after an extravagant cabaret show.
Trudeau, who served as Prime Minister from 2015 to early 2025, led the Liberal Party before announcing his resignation this year. Perry, a celebrated 13-time Grammy nominee, boasts seven studio albums with chart-topping hits like California Gurls, Hot n Cold, and Roar.
