Veteran actor Kamal Haasan celebrated his 71st birthday, marking the occasion with a special visit from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and his son, actor and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. The two leaders visited Kamal Haasan at his residence, where they also met his elder brother, Charuhasan.
Sharing glimpses of the visit on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Kamal expressed his deep and long-standing bond with the Stalin family. He wrote, “Kids usually don't show closeness to their dad's friends. Respectful little distance will be there. However, my relationship with Muthamizharignar (M. Karunanidhi, former CM and MK Stalin’s father) spans nearly three generations. Our relationship is bound by unconditional pure grandeur, respect beyond limits.”
The pictures and videos posted by Kamal showed warm interactions, including the CM and DCM presenting a painting as a birthday gift. Both MK Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin also took to social media to extend their birthday wishes to the celebrated actor.
Recent Work and Upcoming Projects
This year, Kamal Haasan featured in Mani Ratnam’s gangster film Thug Life, alongside stars Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Abhirami. Although the film garnered a lukewarm response, Kamal remains busy with multiple projects.
He is currently producing a new film starring superstar Rajinikanth under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The upcoming project, directed by Sundar C, is slated to begin production soon, with further details yet to be revealed.
Additionally, Kamal has Indian 3, directed by Shankar, in the pipeline. However, there have been rumors about the project’s uncertain status following the disappointment of Indian 2. In September, it was announced that Kamal will also star in a film directed by the action director duo Anbariv.
