Dubai South has strengthened its position as a regional logistics powerhouse with the launch of a new distribution facility by Hellmann Worldwide Logistics’ healthcare division, Hellmann Calipar Healthcare Logistics (HCHL).
The newly inaugurated facility, located within Dubai South’s Logistics District, marks Hellmann’s fifth healthcare-focused distribution center in the UAE. This expansion significantly enhances the company’s footprint, creating one of the most extensive dedicated healthcare logistics networks in the Middle East.
The move comes in response to rising demand for resilient and compliant healthcare supply chains. With increasing regulatory complexities and the need for precise handling of temperature-sensitive medical products, the new facility is designed to deliver high standards of safety, transparency, and efficiency.
The advanced warehouse boosts HCHL’s storage capacity while offering specialized, customer-centric services. Key features include temperature-controlled storage, secure handling of hazardous materials, real-time digital tracking, and streamlined last-mile delivery solutions.
Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South, highlighted the importance of the expansion, stating that it reinforces the district’s role as a global supply chain hub. He emphasized that the integrated infrastructure, strategic location, and multimodal connectivity continue to support international businesses in optimizing their regional operations.
Lee I’Ons, Regional CEO IMEA at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, noted that the new facility not only increases operational capacity but also enhances responsiveness, scalability, and regulatory compliance. He reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to the UAE as a key global hub for healthcare logistics.
This development underscores the UAE’s growing importance in global healthcare supply chains, particularly in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of critical medical products.
