Jordan has made football history by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup for the first time ever. On Thursday, the Jordanian national team, known as "The Nashama," won a big match against Oman with a 3-0 score in Muscat, Oman.
This important win came during the second-to-last round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Thanks to this victory, Jordan secured second place in Group B, which was enough to book their ticket to the World Cup.
Jordanian player Ali Olwan was the star of the match, scoring all three goals and leading his team to victory. The match took place at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, and the Jordanian fans celebrated this historic moment with great pride.

Adding to the excitement, Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and his brother Prince Hashem bin Abdullah were seen in the stadium cheering for the team and showing their strong support.
This result also helped South Korea qualify for the tournament. Iraq, who were in third place, lost 2-0 to South Korea in their match. That defeat means Iraq can no longer catch up to Jordan in the group standings.
Jordan's journey to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is a proud moment for the country and its people. The team's hard work and strong performance have finally paid off.
