"Joker 2," Phoenix, and Gaga Nominated for Razzies Awards

The movie *Joker: Folie a Deux*, which is the second part of *Joker* from 2019, got seven nominations for the Razzies, a list for the worst movies of the year. This new *Joker* movie made less money than the first one. It made $200 million, but the first movie made over $1 billion. The movie also got bad reviews from movie critics.

The movie has been picked for bad awards like Worst Picture and Worst Sequel. Joaquin Phoenix, who played the Joker in both movies, is nominated for Worst Actor. Lady Gaga, who played a key role in the movie, is nominated for Worst Actress.

Other movies this year also got many bad nominations. *Megalopolis*, a big film by famous director Francis Ford Coppola, got six bad nominations. *Madame Web*, a superhero film with Dakota Johnson, also got six. Other movies, like *Reagan* about a president and *Borderlands* based on a video game, each got six bad nominations. Jerry Seinfeld's movie *Unfrosted*, which is about Pop-Tarts, got four.

The Razzies, also called the Golden Raspberries, give out awards to the movies and actors that are seen as the worst. The people who vote for the Razzies are about 1,200 movie fans, and anyone can join. The Razzies were made to give a fun way to look at movies that didn’t do well, unlike the Oscars, which give awards to the best movies.

Even though *Joker: Folie a Deux* was made with a lot of money and big stars, it didn’t do well. The Razzies remind us that not all movies, no matter how famous, turn out great.
