Turkmenistan Set to Become a Global Tourism Leader

The "Turkmentravel – 2026" international exhibition and conference opened in Ashgabat on April 15, 2026, uniting policymakers, industry leaders, and tourists in anticipation of advancing regional tourism.

A notable moment was the address by Cordula Wollmut, Regional Director for Europe at the United Nations World Tourism Organization. She highlighted Central Asia's transformation into a highly appealing tourism destination.
