Joe Alwyn made a rare red carpet appearance at the 2025 Academy Awards, surprising many people. The actor, who has stayed away from the public eye, attended the big event in style. This was one of his few public outings after his breakup with singer Taylor Swift in 2023.

Alwyn looked smart in a black tuxedo with a white shirt and a black bow tie. He also wore a silver brooch on his jacket, adding a classy touch. His appearance at the event quickly became a hot topic on social media.
Some fans praised his look, with one person on X (formerly Twitter) writing, "He always looks fine to me." Another said, "Joe Alwyn killed it at the Oscars! Always on point with his red carpet looks." However, not everyone agreed. One user joked, "I didn’t know they were letting waiters on the red carpet as well."
Since his breakup with Taylor Swift, Alwyn has often faced online comments. Many people believe Swift’s 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department, includes secret messages about their past relationship.
On the work front, Joe Alwyn starred in the film The Brutalist, where he played a character named Harry Lere Van Buren. The movie had a strong cast, including Felicity Jones, Raffey Cassidy, Emma Laird, Stacy Martin, Alessandro Nivola, and Adrien Brody. Brody won the Best Actor award for his role in the film.
Even with all the talk about his personal life, Alwyn’s red carpet moment showed that he is still an important name in Hollywood.
