The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said the attack made it harder for them to do their work. The Red Cross helps people in war by giving them medicine, food, and care. They said their office should not have been attacked because they only help people.
The Israeli army said their soldiers saw people in the building and thought they were a threat. That is why they fired. But later, they checked again and saw they were wrong. They also said the soldiers did not know the building belonged to the Red Cross when they shot at it.
The ICRC did not say who was guilty but said they were very upset about the attack. They reminded everyone that workers who help in war should be safe, and their offices should not be attacked.
The Israeli army said they will look into what happened and find out why the mistake was made. They also said they will try to stop this kind of mistake from happening again.
