Dubai, UAE – The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Union Properties PJSC to enhance the management and regulation of road right-of-way within the company’s development areas. The agreement aligns with Law No. (4) of 2021, governing road regulation in Dubai, and aims to elevate traffic safety, improve road services, and ensure infrastructure projects meet the highest standards.
Hussain Al Banna, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency at RTA, signed the agreement on behalf of RTA. Amer Khansaheb, CEO and Board Member of Union Properties, signed on behalf of the company.
Commenting on the collaboration, Hussain Al Banna said:
"This agreement supports the sustainable management of road right-of-way and preserves Dubai’s urban aesthetics across development zones and free zones. It demonstrates RTA’s commitment to close cooperation with developers to enhance road infrastructure efficiency and ensure safe traffic flow for motorists and pedestrians alike."
Amer Khansaheb added:
"This partnership sets a benchmark for integration between developers and regulatory authorities. It highlights Union Properties’ commitment to road and infrastructure legislation, especially in areas like MotorCity, ensuring asset sustainability, quality of life improvements, and a more efficient investment environment in Dubai."
RTA has previously collaborated with top developers and free zones in Dubai, including Emaar Properties, DAMAC Properties, Wasl Properties, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai Maritime City, Dubai Sports City, Al-Futtaim Real Estate, Nshama, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Investments Park, and Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority. These agreements aim to create a unified regulatory framework for the emirate’s road and infrastructure management.
