Dr. Alagla emphasized the Islamic University of Madinah’s dedication to expanding its international partnerships, aligning with its vision of being a leading global center for Islamic education and research. He highlighted the university’s unique programs and resources, designed to support international students and scholars, which could be mutually beneficial given Ukraine’s educational aspirations in fields such as Islamic studies, Arabic language, and intercultural understanding.

Ambassador Petrenko expressed Ukraine’s interest in enhancing educational ties with Saudi institutions, emphasizing the value of cultural exchange and shared research initiatives. He noted that fostering a robust academic relationship could contribute to broader diplomatic and economic ties between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia. Both parties discussed potential collaborative projects, faculty exchanges, and joint research opportunities that could be pursued in areas of mutual interest, such as Islamic history, modern scientific advancements, and technological research.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to explore specific programs and steps toward formalizing agreements that would facilitate a steady flow of students, researchers, and ideas between the Islamic University of Madinah and educational institutions in Ukraine.
