Hyderabad Couple Die by Suicide; Minor Son and Daughter Also Found Dead

Post by: Layla Badr

A tragic incident took place in Hyderabad on Monday night, where a couple died by suicide after taking the lives of their two children. The incident happened in Habsiguda, and police believe financial troubles and health issues were the main reasons behind it.

The deceased were a 44-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife. Their bodies were found in separate rooms, while their children, a boy and a girl, were found dead on the bed. According to the police, the couple first strangled their children and then hanged themselves.

Inspector N Rajender from Osmania University Police Station said the police were alerted by neighbors around 9:30 pm. As soon as they received the call, they rushed to the house and started an investigation.

During their search, the police found a suicide note, reportedly written by the man. In the note, he mentioned that he had been struggling with serious financial problems and poor health. He also wrote that no one should be blamed for their deaths.

The officer said that the family was originally from Mukuralla village in Kalwakurthy, Mahabubnagar district. They had moved to Habsiguda a year ago. The man had previously worked as a lecturer at a private college but had been unemployed for the last six months. This long period of joblessness had put the family under severe financial stress, which could have led to this tragic step.

The suicide note further revealed the man’s deep distress. He wrote that he had no choice but to take this extreme step. He had been suffering from diabetes, nerve-related problems, and kidney diseases. His declining health, combined with his career struggles, made life unbearable for him.

The police have shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem. A case of suspicious deaths has been registered, and further investigations are underway.

This heartbreaking incident highlights the importance of seeking help during difficult times. If anyone is struggling with financial, mental, or health issues, they should reach out for support instead of taking such a step.
