His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, spoke about the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon and its role in making the emirate a well-known place for sports and tourism. Sheikh Saud said that the marathon helps strengthen Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation as a great spot for both sports events and tourists.

He also mentioned how the emirate has worked hard to build better sports facilities, raise awareness about being active, and encourage everyone, no matter their age, to take part in sports. This is all part of Ras Al Khaimah’s plan to become a leader in sports tourism.
The 18th Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon took place on Al Marjan Island, where top professional runners and many local participants took part. The event offered different races, including a 21-kilometer race and shorter races of 10, 5, and 2 kilometers, so people of all ages and fitness levels could join in.
Sheikh Saud also spoke about how the marathon shows Ras Al Khaimah’s dedication to making sports a big part of the culture. He said that promoting physical activity helps create a stronger community and prepares young people for leadership roles.
After the race, Sheikh Saud gave out awards to the winners and praised their great performances. The Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon, held each year on Al Marjan Island, is an important event for both local and international runners. It draws a large crowd and gets a lot of media attention, helping to raise Ras Al Khaimah’s profile worldwide.
