The stage is set for one of the most significant gatherings in the global food manufacturing and hospitality industries, as Gulfood Manufacturing and GulfHost 2024 prepare to welcome tens of thousands of visitors at the Dubai World Trade Centre from tomorrow until November 7. This year's events promise to be the largest yet, featuring nearly 3,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries across 21 halls. Attendees can expect to see a wide array of innovative products and solutions that are revolutionizing efficiency, profitability, and sustainability in the food and beverage (F&B) and foodservice sectors.
The events will not only showcase cutting-edge products but also provide insights into the latest trends and challenges facing the F&B industry. Attendees can look forward to the Food Tech and Foodservice Excellence Summits, which will feature discussions on emerging technologies and strategies within the industry. Additionally, awards will be presented to recognize trailblazers in both sectors, offering countless opportunities for networking, collaboration, and business development over the three-day event.

Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre, stated, “The evolving landscape of food manufacturing and hospitality is being transformed by a focus on sustainable practices, strategic partnerships, and advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and automation. This week’s Gulfood Manufacturing and GulfHost provide a vital platform for industry leaders and stakeholders to collaborate on innovative solutions, ranging from sustainable production and food security to investment strategies that drive growth, reduce environmental impacts, and enhance product quality and safety. This ultimately leads to a more sustainable and accessible food supply chain.”
The exhibitions will span over 1 million square feet, showcasing the latest advancements in processing, packaging, ingredients, supply chain solutions, and control & automation. Many innovative products will be on display for international buyers, including novel ingredient solutions from prominent companies like Bunge, Cargill, Novonesis, and Tate and Lyle. Attendees can also expect to see sustainable packaging concepts from GEA, Krones, and Tetra Pak, as well as automation technologies from Husky, Ishida, and Multivac, along with smart factory innovations from Johnson Controls and Siemens.

The FoodTech Summit, kicking off tomorrow at midday, will feature a keynote address from Dr. Mark van Rijmenam, a strategic futurist and international expert in AI and digital transformation. He will discuss how organizations can leverage these technologies responsibly to initiate a necessary technological revolution. Dr. Rijmenam will be joined by over 100 industry experts who will explore a range of topics, including emerging food management strategies, disruptive food tech, financing for food production, combating food waste, enhancing food security, and the rise of functional foods and nutraceuticals.
In celebration of the tenth anniversary of Gulfood Manufacturing, this year’s awards will honor the most innovative products and technologies from the past decade that have redefined standards in the F&B industry, improved convenience, and promoted sustainable development. Awards will be presented in ten categories, including best packaging innovation of the decade, sustainable company of the decade, and automation innovation of the decade.
