Bahrain’s national airline, Gulf Air, has started direct flights to London’s Gatwick Airport. This is a big moment for the airline, as it comes 55 years after it first began direct flights from Manama, Bahrain’s capital, to London Heathrow Airport.
In a statement, Gulf Air said that adding Gatwick to its network will strengthen its presence in the UK. Now, travelers will have access to two major airports in London, giving them more travel options.

Gulf Air first launched its Heathrow flights in 1970. The new Gatwick service is part of the airline’s plan to expand its network. It also shows Gulf Air’s commitment to making travel easier and more convenient for its passengers by offering better connections and more choices.
The airline added that this new route will help improve the overall travel experience. Passengers will have more flexibility and can easily connect to other destinations.
Right now, Gulf Air operates two flights a day to Heathrow. With the new Gatwick route, travelers flying between Bahrain and London will have even more options.
