Global music sensation Akon arrived in Delhi on Sunday, November 9, ahead of his much-anticipated concert scheduled for the evening. He was accompanied by his wife, Tomeka Thiam, and his crew. Despite recent reports of marital tensions, the couple appeared cheerful as they greeted photographers at the airport.
A Stylish Arrival at Delhi Airport
Akon and Tomeka made a coordinated style statement in matching black outfits. The singer opted for a casual black hoodie paired with jeans, while Tomeka looked chic in an all-black ensemble. Both were all smiles as they posed for photos, with Akon expressing excitement about performing in India once again.
This public appearance comes amid reports that Tomeka had filed for divorce in September. Court documents reportedly stated their date of separation as "to be determined," making their joint appearance a notable moment.
Delhi Prepares for Akon’s Grand Performance
The Delhi leg of Akon’s India tour promises to draw nearly 10,000 fans from across the National Capital Region. The concert, running from 5 PM to 10 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, will feature some of Akon’s biggest global hits.
Authorities have announced special traffic arrangements around the stadium to ensure smooth movement. Restrictions will be in place from 4 PM to 11 PM, including a ban on heavy transport vehicles along the route from JLN Stadium Red Light to B.P. Marg.
Following his Delhi performance, Akon will continue his India tour with shows in Bengaluru on November 14 and Mumbai on November 16, bringing his electrifying music to fans across the country.
