Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the 2025 edition of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships is set to begin on 21st November. The opening event of this year’s championships will be the Fujairah International Jumping Championship, which will be held at the historic Fujairah Fort arena. This championship is considered one of the most important equestrian events in the region and even around the world because of its high standards and strong participation.

The Fujairah International Jumping Championship will run from 12th to 23rd November. This year’s edition will welcome riders from across the UAE, the Gulf region, and many international countries. The event is expected to draw around 200 competitors representing 27 nations. These include well-known equestrian countries such as France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia. The wide participation reflects the growing global interest in equestrian sports in Fujairah.

All competitions will be conducted according to the rules and standards of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). The jumping courses are designed to highlight the skills, speed, and precision of the riders as they guide their horses through challenging obstacles. This ensures a high-quality event that meets international expectations while giving participants the opportunity to compete at a world-class level.

During a press conference held at the Fujairah Fort arena, the Higher Organising Committee confirmed that all arrangements and preparations for the championship are fully complete. The committee highlighted that this event marks the official start of the annual Fujairah Equestrian Championships, which continue to grow each year and attract participants from many parts of the world. The organisers expressed their readiness to deliver an excellent and well-managed championship that reflects the emirate’s strong commitment to equestrian traditions.

In his speech during the press conference, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, emphasised the importance of support from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi. He explained that the championship reflects the Crown Prince’s vision for developing equestrian sports in Fujairah and strengthening the emirate’s presence in the global equestrian community. Dr. Al Zeyoudi stated that the event allows riders and horse owners to participate with some of the best Arabian and international horse breeds. It also highlights the cultural significance of horses in Emirati and Arab heritage, where equestrianism has long been valued as a symbol of strength, beauty, and tradition.

Dr. Al Zeyoudi also expressed his gratitude to the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, the organising partners, sponsors, and media representatives who contribute to the success of the event. He noted that their support ensures strong participation and helps promote the championships at national and international levels.

Ali Musbah Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, praised the continued success of the Fujairah International Jumping Championship. He stated that the event has become a major destination for riders from the Arab world and beyond. According to him, the strong international participation helps strengthen Fujairah’s position as a key equestrian centre both regionally and globally. He added that the annual event reflects the emirate’s dedication to hosting prestigious sports competitions that promote excellence and attract top-level talent.

At the end of the press conference, the Higher Organising Committee reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a safe, organised, and supportive environment for all participants. The organisers emphasised that their goal is to help riders achieve high levels of performance while upholding the values and traditions of equestrian sport in Fujairah. They also highlighted the importance of preserving the cultural heritage connected to horses in the UAE, which remains a strong part of the nation’s identity.

The 2025 Fujairah Equestrian Championships promise an exciting and memorable experience for riders, visitors, and spectators, showcasing the emirate’s dedication to sports, culture, and international cooperation.
